We never set out to grow fast. We set out to grow right — and that meant treating every new location less like a rollout and more like a conversation with a new part of the city.

Chembur — where we learned to listen.

It began in the heart of Chembur: a small, 25-seat space with a cozy, rustic feel, opened in December 2024. We chose it on purpose. Right in the middle of the city, it was the ideal place to experiment, to test our thinking, and to understand the business from the ground up. But the real teachers were the people who walked in. Our Chembur regulars were warm, curious, and generous with their opinions — they told us which dishes to keep, guided us through the nuances of the Indian palate, and showed us how the city actually likes to drink its coffee. Much of what Coffee Capital is today was shaped across that counter.

Versova — where we raised the bar.

With that foundation, we moved west. Versova was a different kind of neighbourhood — mature, well-travelled, and quietly discerning. People here already knew how great coffee should taste; what they lacked was somewhere serving pure specialty coffee at that standard. So we answered with our largest expression of the brand yet: Coffee Capital Espresso Bar. Where Chembur was a focused, select outlet, the Espresso Bar opens up the full range — a far wider menu of coffee, food, and experimental brews under one roof. It's the clearest version of the promise in our name: a true capital for coffee, where every brew imaginable lives together.

What comes next.

Two neighbourhoods in, the ambition is the same as it was on day one — only bigger. In the years ahead, we plan to open at major hubs across the city, bringing Coffee Capital coffees to more people, in more places, without ever losing the care that got us here.

Because growth, for us, has never been about planting a flag. It's about earning a place in one more neighbourhood — and putting the crown where it belongs: on the everyday.
